I would have to say, to each his own (not very original, I admit). Recently I have had a few opportunities to assist in doing field work with draft animals. The smell of the animals, the plodding of their hooves, the sounds of their breathing, the jingling of the harness, and amazingly enough, the sound of the soil breaking from the effects of a walking plow, not to mention the smell of the soil, is causing me to look at tractors somewhat like you look at that 2-stroke Deere. I can't hear or smell the soil on a tractor, nor can I feel it the way I do when a plow is in my hands. If I drive a tractor, I want it small (relatively speaking), and open (no cab), so that I might experience as much of the world as possible. The huge air-conditioned monsters do not appeal to me at all. I know they do to some, as does cigarette smoking - something else I'll never understand. Viva la difference.
