We have several large reservoirs up in the mountains all around us.The water is dristrubited thru an extencive series of canals,gravity fed to the valleys below.Works well for us.Pumpimg on the flatlands would simply be cost prohibitive.The Denver Water Board has been trying for years to steal the water from several of our higher altitude lakes(namely Taylor Reservoir) and punp it over the top to denver..They plan on building more lakes if they are successful,thus stealing more of our water.They have enough money and with the current political 'climate',they may eventially succede."The wants of the many outweigh the needs of the few"!

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
