Most of the reason Hitler left Switzerland alone was tactics. The Germans had troops in Italy, Switzerland was neutral, they were trading with Germany, Italy, US and Britan,German troops and supplys were transitting through Switzerland to get to Italy and on to North Africa, Turkey and Greece. The Swiss informed Hitler if he invaded they would blow up all the factories between Germany and the Alps (scourced earth), blow up all the tunnels going through the Alps stranding his forces in Italy without supplies and They (the Swiss) would retreat to the mountains and he'd have to come and fight there. In the early part of the war the Germans could get any thing they wanted from Swiss factories through trade or purchase, only later in the war when they didn't have resources were Swiss goods unavailale to them. IIRC the Germans did make some weak attempts at some Swiss holdings, they were repulsed and then Switzerland embargoed them, this was after Italy fell and the Nazis retreated from the Mediterranean, I think the breach of Swiss neutrality might of been from the retreat. It is a little known fact the only bombing on Swiss territory during the war was buy the US. We bombed a town on the wrong side of the river, but by then the Swiss were a little wary of the Nazis, we apoligized and did some diplomatic stuff to smooth it over and it didn't weaken their neutrality.

I think the furthest has been the Two Cylinder 7 in the Amana Colonies last year. Lots of stuff, lots of people. I've also atten
