Definately the 50s. The second world war had ended, no more rationing of gasoline, meat, sugar,and other items. Jobs were plentiful with people anxious to work for what they needed and wanted. There was little need for welfare as politicians had not yet learned they could buy votes with taxpayers money. Government had not yet taken over with all the regulating bodys we now have that wishes to control ever facet of citizens lives. People observed Sundays by going to church of choice, they visited friends and neighbors instead of working seven days a week.
The 50s were definately the best years of my 70+ years of life. Joe
