One way to get an idea of the value would be contact the county tax department and see what their value is. The value of older vehicles seems to vary widely depending where you are, judging from comments here and on other threads. One owner, 73,000 miles, solid glass, and fairly straight sheet metal, sounds good. Everything else can be taken care of at your leisure. I have a 76 F150 that I bought from the original owner over ten years ago for $600.00. The tax value was almost twice that amount, but the old man had used it on the farm and judging by the dents in it, I think he must have hit every fence post on the place and quite a few trees. But it was solid mechanically and I am still driving it. I wouldn't sell it today for what I paid for it.
