I got my mother's dryer in pieces all over her laundry room floor. Started making a real racket, she said just go buy a new one. I said not until I figure out what's wrong. 20 minutes later I had a plastic drum type fan in my hand with a egg-shaped hub, $17.90 online + $7.00 shipping. Even if she only gets another year out if it for $25.00 and some of my time I figure it's worth it. But it's an older one so I figure chances are good it will now outlast what would have replaced it anyway...
