I've tried a better idea. Getcha a 3" drywall screw. One where the shank is smaller than the threads. Drill a hole in the back corner of the plastic can, a lil' bigger than the shank. Screw the DWS in. When you tip the can to pour, the screw will tip enough to admit air around it. Set the can down, gravity will close the hole and prevent mass evaporation while at the same time preventing balooning the can on a hot day. NOT OSHA APPROVED, YMMV, worth what you paid, etc, ad nauseum.
