yep,when my dad died brothers tried to talk me into all us kids taking so much money and putting it in account so it wouldnt show mom having so much.(though it wasnt any real amount) told them to leave me out of their plans. Moms still living in a assisted living center,and so far has been in realitivly good health. dad had a excellent retiremant plan so that pays her up keep,since it takes just almost exactly each month as what her income is she's doing alright. we went the power of attorney route also,saves alot of hassles i think. doesnt take anything to do it here,less hassle than even going to the bank and dealing with that mess.
