Strikes me as odd that there are people calling for my state to totally abandon the public employees retirement programs. "Darn state workers make too much!" I hear it here all the time. Funny, if you started talking about cutting off all a persons welfare, SSI, Medicare and Medicaid, food stamps you'd be labeled a monster, yet that's pretty much what those advocating such a move would be doing. Weird.
What we need is strong leadership in our Federal and State Gov'ts, but it needs to be conservative leadership whose primary goal is to make the US a working nation, not an nation of unemployed takers.
