[quote="Rich_WI"](quoted from post at 10:05:52 10/06/12) Red Wing makes a USA made line of shoes/boots but boy-oh-boy are they expensive. They are not better made either, just a little extra ink on the box exclaiming they are made here. I used to get their oxford shoes for just a hair over $100 a pair, $60 on sale..... now with the USA ink on the box.... $250. No joke.

Really? Not better made? You sure about that? From 2000 till 2009 I went through a pair of work boots a year. In 2009, with feet problems, my Doc chewed me out over "cheap" (somehow didn't think 125 buck boots were cheap) boots. That day I went and got a pair of Red Wings. Wearing that same boot right now, still in good shape. Cost, 225. 125 X 3 years.....375. Now whats cost effective? Kinda the same with Red Wing socks. 45 bucks for 3 pair. They will last me about 2 years. Wal Mart socks start getting holes in em about 30 days from buying them. So 6 pairs a month or 6 pairs in 2 years. You tell me whats going to cost more.
