Been building fence the last few days, didn't realize how much harder it has become. Using neighbor's JD 1250 tractor (he owes me)- its a Yanmar, and about as unhandy a rig as I've ever seen- too high to get up and down from, foot platforms are too narrow to pivot your feet, shift levers prevent you from comfortably getting your foot over the center, two stage clutch instead of live PTO, etc., etc. I could probably design a more cumbersome loader, if I set my mind to it, but it would take awhile.
Yeah, I know, "You'd b!tch if you were hung with a new rope!" Just getting older, I guess. Rather be doing something less. . ."physical". Wife has been helping, and to her credit, has finally stopped trying to tell me how to do it. She just does what I tell her. She's in better shape than me, and is a big help. But still a lot of work, for older folks.
