There are only a couple of things I would change on your ideal car. I had a 1970 Challenger with the 440 sixpack and 4 speed. I put the electronic ignition conversion on it and it was wonderful. I had 2 different Dana 60 axles for it, one had 3.55 gears and one had 4.10 gears. The 4.10 were just a little too much for all around driving but I liked the 3.55. Pistol grip shifter was also neat to have. If you drove it with any sense they also got reasonable mileage(16mpg on freeway at 65mph). Not bad for back then.
