My wife is frugal and resists spending money on herself, but if I want tools or most anything else she is always agreeable. However, this summer she decided that she wanted to go to Australia to see our 3.5 month old grandson, knowing that my doctors wouldn't let me take that long flight.
She just got back, glad that she went but she will never make that long trip again. Just a bit too stressful on a 75-year-old lady.
