i would think only your insurance in your home state would be good. tags /tax deal would dend on wheather state(s) were title holding states, and wheather tags were issued to idividuals or the vehicle. here for instance we are not title holding state and tags stay with the vehicle, freind here bought a boat built in MO that just the opposite,at that time at least they were a title holding state and tags were issued to owner and moved between vehicles.he had to pay excise tax and tags for both states.IF the dealer had shipped it in from the manufacturer in mo he wouldnt have had to tag and title it in both states. you may call the dmv in ky and ask about this.if in ky the current owner has to remove the tag you couldnt legaly drive it without one,so you would have to either register that truck first in your state and get a tag to put on it or register it there and again when you got home. what ive found anyway.to my knowledge theres no restriction on interstate travel as far as insurance goes.
