Years ago when living in Santa Clara, CA, we had a really nice black cocker, "Inky", which was my 8 year old daughter's dog. We kept Inky in our totally enclosed back yard during the day when our two girls were at school and my wife and I at work. We were sure Inky got stolen by people putting in a new in-ground pool at our neighbor's home in back of us.
