There's a lot to be said about being able to get the machine you want and need, configured exactly the way you want it, TODAY.
With "yesterday's tractors" you can spend months weeding through overpriced ads trying to find that right tractor. Then if you needed a loader, and it didn't come with one, you spend months more just trying to find a loader that fits, in good shape, at a fair price.
After all is said and done you still have an old used tractor. Dripping gas and seeping oil from every nook and cranny. Heavy and clunky.
I'm totally in to that. A lot of other people are too. Still it would be nice to have those as "hobby" tractors, and have a little Kubota 4x4 with a loader and backhoe to do the real work around the place.
