It's his opinion about what he feels is causing problems where they didn't used to be. IIRC he is a Vietnam veteran, during his service he probably served with a lot of different people and I bet a few of them had different skin tones than his, so I don't automatically dismiss him as a racist. Yes there are some people that could use a hand up, but many have abused the privilege or right and now feel they have a right to a portion of what someone else has worked for through government entitlements. These government entitlements don't reward people for working, following the laws, being a good citizen or bettering themselves. We in America are having many of the same problems other nations in Europe had in the 70's any of those nations have either changed the course of their government and regained some sort of economy or continued to elect governments that gave them more to the point they are giving away more than their economies can afford or even produce. Now to prevent economic collapse other countries have provided aid, but the people are still demanding what was promised to them for their votes. The only reason Greece is still solvent is aid from other European countries, or Greeks are now spending money a German, Swede or Dane might of earned. Some speculate the only way to break the circle is to allow countries like Greece and Spain to collapse, allow the governments to go into bankruptcy and walk away from all their debt and obligations. This would particularly hurt the poor and aged citizens but the basic laws of economics would eventually prevail and the majority of citizens would eventually find ways to meet their basic daily needs. Maybe the ones who are protesting wanting more might then realize how much they are given.
