we got our 4th cutting done, chopped thursday, 1 1/2" rain friday, 2 loads saturday to try and cover the bunk, chopped the rest monday, and it has rained all day today. glad i have 2 dryers of shell corn dried and a load of hmec to feed. i won't have to go back to the field until the end of the week for more hmec. good news is, when it stops raining, it only takes a couple days for the ground to firm up. there is a lot of beans still out around here. most guys with cows chopped all their corn to rebuild supply after last fall's flood.
