I used Stabil in the past and had gas go bad within a year. Now use Sea Foam in everything that doesn't get regular use. Realize not a good thing to do but treated the premium non- alcohol gas in the plastic Chevy and didn't drive it for four years. Did start and run it around the block a couple of times each year to keep things lubed but didn't mess with the fuel. Finally decided I'd better drain it and refill with fresh but it smelled OK and started immediately, so crossed my fingers and drove it a few hundred miles to Chicago and back. Refilled and treated again with Sea Foam. Really should go with Avgas in this vehicle but would be very difficult. Gold Stabil is rumored to be just as good as Sea Foam, but likely will not try unless the "tried and true" Sea Foam lets me down.
