My first husband and I had a 12 ft aluminum boat. We had just bought a used engine for it and headed out. Didn't get very far and the engine quit.
He couldn't get it re-started and wanted to know if it was getting spark. He stuck a screw driver in the spark plug wire and told me to hold the metal part while he pulled the start cord.
Engine was putting out lots of spark. I got zinged big time. Engine may have been cold, but I was red hot. We weren't that far from shore and I SERIOUSLY considered turning the boat over and swimming to shore. Just one more reason why I left him.
Y'all may get a laugh out of this, but how many of you would do that to your wife? I still get mad when I think about it.
