Recycle plants, windmills, airports, etc. have a lot in common. Many want them, but "not near me". First built many years ago, "out in the boonies", operated OK for 10, 20, some for 40 years. Then the idiots build right up next to them, complain, protest, organize and drive them out. Latest casualty was a recycle plant about 10 miles from me. Operated for 40 years, met all state & federal emissions requirements by continually updating equipment, even recently was granted permit to expand by the state, but the local idiots that built right up next to them kept beating their drums & the local politicians caved to keep their offices/power/etc. and used taxpayer money to close the place down, along with a hundred + jobs lost, plus tax revenues. Local gov't gave them tax abatement to build there in the first place! You can't win!

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
