Mark while it wold be hard to hide an AC130 over most modern cities who would notice one at say 20K in a hold pattern while fire fights are taking place in the city? As posted the only reason to paint a target is if there is a weapon system on site that needs the lazer to aquire the target. A lot of talk about the AC130s is because they could have had one on site in as little as 2 hours.
