The US currently uses 7.6 billion gallons of oil a year. Doesnt take a whole lot of figuring to find out that if we had every bit of that oil out of the ground today,we have less than six months worth.US dominance in oil production peaked years ago,its gone,overwith,done ,ell finito. Even saudi arabias vast oil fields are now producing far less. I guess you missed the saudi king on tv a while back voicing his concerns. iraq is for all intents and purposes off line,syria which sold the majority of iraqs oil is also. lots of hostile nations in that area weild increasing amount of power,,such as ,dare I say it libya ,which might just explain some of the govs restraint in dealing with that problem. russia is very quickly become the world power in oil, and oddly enough needs a pipeline through a small place called afganistan to get their oil on the worlds market most profitably.( reason for them invading afganistan by the way was this pipeline). Yes those places allowing fracturing now stand to make a lot of money.the ones not allowing it stand to make much more later on,
