In all seriousness a 100 percent agricultural-themed show would never get made. Mc Cormick would appeal more to the main stream as he was the closest thing to a mogul in agricultural machinery manufacture during his life time. He also relates to the story of the American labor movement the show is trying to tell about with the Haymarket Riots in Chicago. His company was right amidst the consolidation in the early Twentieth Century that created the giants in American business such as US Steel as well as IH. Deere makes it not so much of what he accomplished during his lifetime but what was to come after. Most people that own a Deere lawn tractor but have no connection to agriculture would be curious as to the origin of the name. A lot of us here would enjoy hearing about JI Case, The Massey family of Canada, James Oliver, etc. (whether we liked their products or not) but they would not have wide spread appeal outside of agriculture.
