Unbelieveable..... SWMBO had left a message that we were interested in the higher offer if we could work on the price... He had also offered a complete package with solar but it was just too steep and our roof isn't the best place for solar (neighbor's house blocks the sun most of the day in winter and about half in summer) He called her a little while ago and said he had a deal put together. Don't have it in writing yet, but he is dropping the output of the heater, putting the solar back in the offer with extra panels to satisfy the greenies . It's a wood pellet system and will be supplimented by solar... So, by increasing the solar surface, it'll cut down on the use of pellets (and the emissions) and put us in a 2 alternative energy house that qualifies for a good tax break AND enough bonus's from the treehuggers to make the entire system after all is said and done just be about 1500 bucks more than the cheaper offer..... That 1500 bucks will be made up in savings on pellets eliminating the couple little quirks of the cheaper one and lower taxes each year... If it stays that way when he puts it on paper, we'll be good.

In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
