Buying the horse id the cheapest expense she (you) will have. Wait until the pasture, hay and vet bill come due, then she can go to the bank for a loan. My neighbor used to say the he would buy a horse for anyone who wanted one. The only stipulation was that they had to buy the hay for the horse from him. Never had any takers. Bud
