Semi trailers, shop equipment, lawn mowers, service manuals, three point equipment, vehicles, money..... Rent or loan out??
I have a little book I could write on my losses...
I like to be neighborly, but too often my stuff comes back damaged, if it comes back at all....
One guy stiffed me for $1600 on semi-trailer rent.. After I located the trailer, there was over $2500 in damages to repair...
One piece of equipment loaned out over 25 years ago is still due for a promised return.
A pressure washer was loaned out, only for the loaner to loan in to another guy... Got that one back with a broken pump after it was left in a unheated building..
Don"t mention tow chains or loaning to relatives..
I am more than glad to help folks out... But in most cases; would rather run over and do the job for them.. Or simply say no.
