I've done maybe 50 E-bay transactions, Ford parts, Cub Cadet stuff, Honda parts and a Wheel Horse Lawn tractor. I only really had one transaction go bad. Seller was selling a fender for the Ford and misrepresented the fender, it wasn't what he said it was in the posting, heck it even still had a VIN number on it to confirm it wasn't the fender he stated it was. I file a complaint, he slimes me on the feedback and states his dinky little poorly focused picture should override anything he types in the description. E-bay tells me to send the fender back to him and I'll get my money back plus freight, so I did, never saw the money. I don't use it much anymore because of the policy of E-bay allowing spam in the description. It has also got so they are pretty much a source for common parts and if you need something a bit odd E-Bay allows the sellers to misrepresent the common parts as the odder ones you need. I was buying parts for a specific Ford Mustang. Ford made about 10,000 of this particular model ALL of them were hatchbacks with gray interiors made with turbo fuel injected 4 cylinder engines, 5 speed manual transmission, 4 wheel disc brakes, 16" forged 5 lug aluminum wheels and unique hood, spoilers, spats, steering wheels and tail lights. I enter the model and have to sort through brake drums, carburetors, torque convertors,V-8 engine parts, convertible tops, red interior trim and 14" 4 lug steel wheels that the seller/scammers proudly claim fit my car and E-Bay does nothing. Betcha I could probably find a clutch pedal listed for a John Deere B or an unstyled JD A water pump listed on E-Bay.
