After "911" ,Huricane" Irene" and back to back "Lee",both suposed to be 100yr storms, and now "Sandy" , this state has one of the very best disaster prep network in the nation. Our govenor and state officials had a plan in place two days before the event, with all responders including the national guard ready to respond. As of today Upstate municipalities are sending fire companys to NYC to relieve their bros , who have been going non stop for several days. Fortunlatly the ----- Mayor of NYC called off the Marithon this afternoon, allowing all the recources to be focused on those with real needs, not just feeding and housing runners from Kenya and other foreign countries. There was many tons of food deligated to this "run " that are now going to people of need. Plus that police manpower and mechanical resources can be channeled in the right direction.
