Went to National in 1965. I was a voting delegate at Washington state convention for a couple of years- biggest issue one year (probably 1964) was whether to admit girls. We voted no. I think the Civil Rights Act pretty much pre-empted that.
Great organization. They have changed with the times, lots of opportunities for city kids with no way to raise livestock projects- marketing, judging, public speaking, agri-business, etc. But still some hardcore ag stuff for the farm kids.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
