I tried to bale corn stalks yesterday. Took a bearing out on the baler just after the time that the dealer closed. I had bearings here for that shaft size, but the outside race was wrong. The auto parts store didn't have it. Went to a good sized ag supply store, private owned, they didn't have it. Stopped back at the Mennonite repair shop. The guy was gone to help somebody else but his wife told me to help myself if I knew what I needed. Didn't have the mic with me and the only one I found that I thought was right wasn't in a box,but it was on the shelf between the next size bigger and the next smaller,so I figured that was it. Nope. Gonna have to go back in the morning and if he doesn't have the right one,I'll have to head on over to the dealer. I'm running out of fall weather I'm afraid. Gotta get this stuff done soon or forget it,and that ain't gonna be purdy for the feed situation.
