I was lucky to get a 6 day drying time, cut on Tues, rolled them yesterday (21 5x5). Alfalfa/grass mix. Could have used one more day but rain coming in big today. The guy that I cut them for convinced me to give it a try as I was done for the year, I thought. Glad it worked out for him. Had to rake 3 times to get it to dry properly.
Was a beautiful fall day with temps in the 60's and blue sky. Baler ran the best it has ever run, not a single burp or clog... Tractor was working harder, think it was the winterized diesel. Did not seem to have the power it usually has. Have heard that the winter fuel is a bit less on the cetane rating.
