Thought we were finally catching up a little and now my wifes' car is down. We have been trying to limp the car along another 2 yrs but not sure now. She said her coolant light came on so I filled it and vented it and filled it full, next day empty again.
She drove it a while and pulled in and I got underneath to look for leak. FOUND IT. I can't see exactly where it is but looking at location and the area, I believe it to be a head gasket. Last spring did a lower intake gasket on it and seemed good then.
I am going to have to rent a pressure tester to find exact leak but they want $160 plus to rent it but I get my money back. Then the parts and repairs will come in. My buddy is a good shade tree mechanic and I trust hims so I will help him to do it. Just thought we were gonna get through Chrsitmas without any surprises.
2 months ago my tranny went out in my truck and we had to have that replaced. Now this.
