We bought this one new and just replaced the transmission last year, it has less than 120,000 on it, everything else is good. What I plan to do is replace the back half, Ford done good when they built them with an overlap behind the front spring hanger on the back axle. I am an old body man so this is nothing new to me to cut a few rivets with the torch and put it all back together like new....just my labor. Then sell a few parts and junk out the rest.
I wouldn't do it either if I had to replace the whole frame.
