Bill, I've been checking out gators and mules. Reason, where I live you are very likely to have your quad stolen by the meth heads, here in meth valley USA. You can carry more things on a gator, especially grand kids.
What disturbs me is the county boys, deputies, told me they are instructed not chase after a quad or motorcycle. So, if you want to commit a crime here, do it on 2 or 4 wheels. I just don't understand why they are instructed not to chase quads. Perhaps, it's because are jail is overcrowded with meth heads. Cops know the quads are most likely mobile meth labs, especially those running the roads at 2 am without lights.
There are some nice looking older used gators and mules on craigslist. You can use searchtempest.com to search all craigslists a certain distance form your place.
I have a better feeling about getting parts for gators and mules. Not crazy about diesels, but there are some diesel gators too.
