I posted this in tractor tales: And the problem started......... I remember this like it was yesterday and I had all my faculties. Fifth grade a country school six girls five boys. This suited gentleman came to talk to all of us about our future. He said that computers would make the world better and robots will do the work of many men. My friend who"s dad had to go to town to work to support the family asked this very question. "If the computers and robots do all the work what will my dad do?" This was human drama at it"s highest level. The family had nothing and now my friend thought he was facing the prospect of an uncertain future. After a long pause our lector said well there"s no problem people will still make the robots and computers. This was 1958. My friend walked in front of a train in 68 .................................................... I voted yesterday for all the local, state andfederal races but could not vote for president. The choices in a word sucked. I know most think I messed up but we are in a terrible mess and these guys can't fix it. And now fighting will not help.
