Hi was this tractor heading in the hole for scrap or they just used it there till it puked. I would go under the clutch housing take the plate off and see whats in there. if you have loads of bright steel filings or rivet heads chances are its the drive from the back of the clutch as its made from steel and riveted together. if its kinda grey cast iron type dust then it's probably flywheel metal worn off by the clutch lining material and not linked to your problem.
