Dude, you ain't none too bright........

Got up one Saturday morning, made the chore loop and came back to a big breakfast and a card/gift on the table.... You know the feeling... She didn't see that I saw the stuff so I slipped in the other room, called the house with my handy and answered the phone...... Yelled oh sh------- horses are out! and ran out the house... Ran to the next town and flower shop, got a bouquet and a card and back home & slipped them in the utility room (an outbuilding)... Went in to a cold breakfast and shoulder and a sneering "happy anniversary.I see you forgot........" Said, "no, I just thought I'd surprise you when you went to get a bottle of juice (we keep in the utility room).... I got your gift yesterday and was waiting on you to find it. Guess you didn't love me enough to get me a glass of juice" and went outside & brought her a big bunch of flowers and card....... She felt like inch high private eye for a couple hours and all was well..... I now keep a bottle or two of perfume, cards for every occasion, a bottle each of wine and champagne, and 50 bucks for dinner stashed in a box in the barn.... That was just too close. Happy Anniversary!

Today's Featured Article - A Belt Pulley? Really Doing Something? - by Chris Pratt. Belt Pulleys! Most of us conjure up a picture of a massive thresher with a wide belt lazily arching to a tractor 35 feet away throwing a cloud of dust, straw and grain, and while nostalgic, not too practical a method of using our tractors. While this may have been the bread and butter of the belt work in the past (since this is what made the money on many farms), the smaller tasks may have been and still can be its real claim to fame.
