That is a vary good possibility that it was parted and the rest scrapped . We had a New Holand skid steer taken out of the barn on the coldest night of the year a couple years ago and the thieves knew that the people on the road behind the farm were gone on vacation as the drove the skidsteer out across the field to the road and loaded it on the road and were gone . We had to rent one for over a week while we played the game with the insurance co. End up finding one on Craigs list so we bought that one still waiting on the insurance co. Three more weeks went by and nothing , then one day some guy was bragging about the great deal he got on a New Holland LX 665 that had two brand new tires on it as we had just put them on and were waiting for the other two to come in . He was brqagging about it at the local coffee shop. and a couple guys over heard him bragging and one of them went p to him and said GEE that one sounds like the one that was stolen 20 miles from here . This guy panicked and went and called the sheriff's office and Deputy Dawg went down and looked it over and called the roll back in and hauled it to the impound . They almost charged him with receiving stolen property . Then the sheriffs office called us to come down and see if it was ours and prove it . We did that and then the insurance co. said that no it was theres we told them ah no you have not PAID US for it and there for it is still ours , you have not paid for the rental machine we had to have for one week till we bought the other LX665 . They we mad that we took it back as they had already SOLD it to a salvage buyer . So now we have two LX 665's BUT WE got lucky getting it back. I have a friend that has had three dozers two skid steers and four back hoes stolem over the last 20 years and not one of them has turned up . My uncle when he was alive lost four tractors and never saw any of them again . Even thought they did catch the last thief red handed while tryen to steal another one . Since then we have taken steps to slow them down a little along with other things that will alert us when someone comes on the farm along with hidden camera's , sensors . Now there is no way that anything get on or off that farm with out getting it's picture taken night or day.

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
