They're just shutting down and going out of business to irritate union cool aid drinkers and other morons. Has nothing to do with the fact their sales numbers have been in the toilet for the past 5 years, or the fact their cost of production exceeds income, or the fact that a dozen other bakers sell products that are identical for less, allowing retailers to actually make money on them. What's even funnier, the competitors who sell identical products and are thriving are non union. Seems unions and those relics who still think they have a place in this world are getting fewer and farther between.
Maybe you should study publicly available financial statements for the outdated concept formerly known as Hostess. It's been a sinking ship for quite a while.
