I kinda laugh too in the fact that with 4X4 trucks and SUVs. They figure that 98% will never leave paved roads! Here it's really bad. Everyone and thier brother has some type of 4X4 so they can "go in the winter. We also have the "stupid law". If the county sheriff says no travel and you go out and get stuck they will come get you. You will pay for the DOT plow truck and driver to plow out to you, the wrecker and for the cop to drive out there and write you a ticket. Last time that happened here was a few years ago. Cost the guy near 3500 when it was all said and done. Yet most of the people around here who own 4X4 vehicles live in town. Living out here on the farm I would rather have a 4X2 cause I don't really need 4 wheel. Can't remember the last time I used 4X4. Conditions are so bad that I need 4X4 I fire up a tractor and use that instead.
