Help!!!! I need parts for the final drives for my crawler. Mostly the cluth plates and fiber disks. More importantly I need the ring and pinion gear for the rear end. I was told by JD that ring and pinion gears come as a complete set. I have the repair manual and it states alot about shimming. I don't feel confident doing this but if I have the gears I will try. The manual states to use tool AM452T gauge to establish the cone point of pinion exactly on the center line of ring gear. I called the local JD dealer and they said they had never heard of it. Any suggestions? Please help, this thing was my grandfathers (which he bought new in '54) and I found it in a barn when I bought the property. It is painted yellow, but was once green. It also has a front blade, but I don't if it is JD or not. I've heard that JD made them, and also that they didn't. The tractor is complete and I would like to at least get started on rebuilding it. I've already taken it apart. Now I need to figure out how to get it back together!
