My dad had an old belsaw mill. Got tired of running it off our old case. When saw slowed, the 4 ft blade would change shape and not cut straight. He wired in 2 large 3 phase motors to fix his problem.
Try ebay for digital tacks. I purchased one for my mower on ebay. Yes made in China. It lasted 4 hours before it screwed up. After writing many emails to seller, I contacted Pay-pal. They got me a full refund. So, if you find a seller, try getting one based in the US and use pay-pal.
I have an old mechanical tach that you connect to the shaft and it tells me the RPM's.
My IH C and most old tractors have a 540 RPM pto. My tach confirms the 540 RPM's. Jubilee will spin a tick faster.
So, if you want 600 RPM on the mill, do the math, the pulley on the mill will need to be a smaller diameter.
My dad found the flat belt will slip a little when under heavy load and the tractor speed will be less too.
If I recall, dad put a pulley that would use 4 v-belts and 2 went to each motor. After that conversion, it saved him fuel and gave him a good cut. His mill was set up next the the big saw dust pile, next to his shop where he got the electricity from. George
