Ellis: They are not currently making new units as they are swamped with building their light systems. Here is the notice on the web site.
"Thank you for your interest in the Allmand TLB lime of Tractor-Loader-Backhoes. As a result of phenomenal light tower and Maxi-Heat sales, Allmand has indefinitely suspended production of our TLB models to allow increased production capacity for our other lines. Because of this, no new orders are currently being taken for this product. Please bookmark and return to this page from time-to-time to check the current status of this product.
Warranty, parts and technical support for this line continue to be available as always. For immediate warranty, parts or technical support, or to check on the availability of in-stock new, used or demo units, please call 1-800-562-1373."
The Allmand TLB is mostly off the shelf parts that can be found locally. The backhoe attachment is a made by Bradco. I have been looking at buy one for a couple of years. They are a good rugged unit. Much better than the Terramite type TLB.
The company is located in Nebraska. They are good solid company that makes a good quality product. It is just at this time they can sell other things that are in higher demand. They are not a huge company. I would guess maybe a 150-200 employees.
Another thing hurting the new unit sales is the explosion of the small track excavators. Plus most contractors have larger skid steers for loader work. They can add a mini-excavator and have two different machines that give them more flexibility in jobs.
John Deere has discontinued the JD 110 TLB. They where the hot item 7-8 years ago. The mini excavators getting cheaper has them replacing the demand for the smaller TLB.
