Poor Farmer 830, IMO 243 is a better Coyote Gun than a Deer Gun, even here in Central Texas where the Deer trend to be of a smaller frame than other areas. Start with a base of a 257 Roberts and go up from there. Pick your favorite flavor. Then search Pawn shop, gun show, Craig s List, Classified or Thrifty Nickel or Full fledged Gun Store.
