I couldn't find shoes that fit me any more. Others I have talked to say the same thing that have had foot surgery also. I had a bunion by my big toe this pushed my foot over toward the little toe causing it to twist and grow on its side, then I had a spur at the side of my little toe. The long bone behind my big toe was growing outward (toward the other foot) so he cut a wedge in it at the end nearest the ankle then screwed it in place when they do that procedure the long bone behind the second toe needs to be shortened otherwise it's prone to fracture. Right now I can walk good, my big toe doesn't touch the floor when walking in the house bare foot but doc said this would be, steps are a little slow right now but I'm cautious. Everyone told me do exactly what the doctor says and you'll be fine. So I'll pass that little bit of advice on. Good luck with your surgery. What is it you're having done?
