My boy took the pics. Its a CA. Low hour original I got from my uncle. Has original tires although the fronts are now bald. You can see by my handle this one is not my color but it sure runs good. My red ones are either too pretty or in a million pieces. It actually only has one weight on each side. The way the dish is set out on the rim it looks like more than one. I'm not sure if the smooth landside weight is an Allis weight. I picked it up at a sale somewhere and it fit. I put a F&H 162 weight on the furrow side this year. I tied a half an IH weight on the front in a hurry and its not nearly enough. The little CA is not quite enough for this ground. It looks a lot better than it actually is. Its slabby hard clay in a 1/2 acre lot that juts out of my field. The farmer we rent to had to turn in there and till and plant so we finally started unsing it for a garden. So, for years it was turned on and backed on and you can sure feel the packed spots from traffic. Its clay too. Every tater we grew I had to hand wash and scrape the mud off with my thumbnail. My kids actually made pots out of it and let them dry. I need a one point subsoiler to bust the pan up. Halfway through I quit and switched to my 756 with a 3-16 roll-over plow and she spun too! When I went back to put the CA away one of the push rods jumped out. I suspect a sticking valve? Mighta got a tad hot.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Not a place one would associate with farms or farm machinery. I credit my parents for instilling a lot of good values, a respect for learning, a knowledge of various skills and a little knowledge of farming in me, amo
