Wile E, I agree with your last point, I have seen the same thing happen as well. The state gave me the choice for a while of either joining their welfare system to help take care of my kids - or go to jail and have them put into a foster care system. Some are more subtle than that "Your profile does not match the requirements" "there are different rules for whites or single fathers"
They once had a program that put homeless unmarried women with one baby into the homes of single fathers. They called and told me of one, thing is she and the babys father had gotten into several fights - last things I wanted at my home. She was a blonde, told them I preffered brunettes. They actually called me back saying they had none in the system... did I want to order one?
You never know what kids will say... An Equipment repair owners wife left him because he would get up in the middle of the night if something they had repaired broke. (wanted him to work 9-5 with a tie, he refused) He fell into the same program, ended up with a 17 year old blonde, her father threw her out, childs father denied it was his and went off to college.
At a birthday party at McDonalds... Timmy, if you wake up in the middle of the night, do you go to Sally's room or your Dads room first?
I go to my Dads room, Sally is always sleeping on top of Daddy.
Last time I saw them, they were married with four kids...
