MCOHIO: I am glad you chose to honor this post with one of your 41 posts in the year you have used this handle.
I have been posting regularly on here for almost 3 1/2 years. IF this was just a forum about old tractor repairs then there would not be over 672,000 posts on it. Most of us are kind of like a community on here and we like the way things are now.
There are many regular members that rarely post things about tractors. Some of them make this a great site. The best of these in my opinion is Larry@stinerscorner. HE posts pictures from his area of NJ and about his weekends in the country. I enjoy reading those much better than the five hundredth time on how to polarize your generator or etc.
Then in reference to your question: "I am curious how much money have you paid or made for your knowledge or lack there of." I made my living for many years as a mechanic, service manager, and own/run my own repair business in addition to farming. So I earned the knowledge on many tractor/farm equipment things. I try to help those that have troubles that I can talk them through. Look my replies up and you will see I help those I can.
My posts are usually about things that I think those interested in country life would like or find interesting. If they are OT then all you have to do is just not read them. You don't have to do anything just not click on them. That is about the simplest way to not do something I can think of. Just Don't click.
As for this site. I really appreciate the fact that Kim and Chris make it available for our use. I return the favor by buying parts from them. It must be working as advertising for them because the site is well maintained and seems to be growing. Their business seems to be doing well too. I talk to different people when I order parts so they have different people as staff.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
