I would talk to some local friends and find out what they have been planting an about what yields they are getting. I am not talking the coffee shop here either. I also would discount anything a seed salesman tells me too.
I planted Channel and Pioneer this last year. Several varieties of each. The yields where pretty good for the weather we had. One brand would top one farm and then the next farm they might switch places. So either one would work depending the exact conditions. They did average just about the same.
What I am getting at is what would work best for you would be way different than what would work for me. You need to be comparing soil types and weather conditions to truly compare one corn to another.
Just asking about price per unit is not a very good way to go. As for your unit price. That is in the ball park for a RR seed but I have not heard of that brand of seed in my area.
I will tell you this. This year is not a year to Lolly gag around getting your seed ordered. The best varieties are already LONG GONE!!! I had mine ordered before Sept 1 and still did not get all of the units of some numbers I wanted. If you wait much longer you will not have hardly any choice in what you plant.
